BookJetty ScreenGrab Hosted on ZooomrHere’s an interesting site called BookJetty.com by Herryanto Siatono of Pluit Solutions. It uses Web 2.0 technology of mash-ups to combine search results from both Amazon and the catalogue of National Library Board, Singapore. I came across this site when it was first launched but didn’t see much use of it then because of the limited functionality. But it has evolved into a very useful tool. (via Library Stuff)
What I like about BookJetty.com is that it allows me to search and find books on Amazon that not available or going to be published and compare it with NLB’s holdings. Then I can make the decision to put in a request to acquire the titles.
One other thing that you can do is to sign-up for an account with BookJetty.com and it’ll allow you to bookmark the books that you like. You can also mark the books as ‘Read’, ‘Reading’ or ‘Wanted’. And you can tag the books as well. It also includes an element of social networking by allowing you to see who has read the books you have, reading the same books you’re reading, or want the same books.
